Cosy, comfortable, tastefully and traditionally furnished cottage (sleeps 4), lies in glorious countryside and is in easy reach of the Heritage Coast with its miles of splendid sandy beaches. The picturesque 200 hundred year old whinstone cottage has a large inglenook with recently exposed stonework and a log burning stove.  It sits on a quiet country lane, off the beaten track and serving only the local community, and  is surrounded by farmland. It enjoys wonderful views across Glendale towards the coast, yet it is only 1 mile from the small friendly town of Wooler with all amenities, character shops, pubs, cafes

It is ideally placed for a peaceful, relaxing country holiday. Superb local walks from the cottage and into The National Park, onto the Cheviots, onto the long distance footpath of St Cuthberts Way (1 mile away), and along the Hillfort trail. Make for the Heritage Coastline
with clean sandy beaches, small fishing villages, castles and superb coastal walks. Explore inland. The Beautiful Scottish Borders, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Rothbury and Berwick upon Tweed are all nearby. Golf, riding, fishing, gliding, mountain bike hire also available. Alternatives to the digital age  available in the cottage with plenty of books, puzzles, games, knitting  / crochet materials, if you prefer to relax in the cottage and garden. Stargaze on clear nights.

The cottage is available from 23March 2019 - 04 January 2020, to include the Christmas and New Year  weeks. Prices start at £370.00 in March. Ground floor. Rear entrance to modern dining kitchen with lovely views across the valley. The large sitting / dining room is comfortably furnished and has an inglenook and wood burning stove. There are plenty of books, games, jigsaws. TV and DVD and WiFi. The modern shower / room toilet has a walk in shower, Dimplex heater and heated towel rail. First Floor. Staircase up to double bedroom with king size bed. Twin bedded room. Both with velux windows and lovely country views. Low ceilings upstairs.

Outside. Sheltered rear garden with garden furniture. Off road parking for one car.

Provided: electricity, calor gas, night storage heaters, starter supply of logs, gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, duvets with linen and towels, welcome tray.

Sorry not suitable for anyone with limited mobility (access statement available).

No smoking in the cottage and garden. x1 well behaved pet welcome.

7 day lets, arrive Saturday after 16.00, depart Saturday 10.00. If booked for a fortnight, cleaning and bedding change at end of week 1. Sleeps x4. Available each year from April till New Year.
