New Chair of GGT

Patrick Sheard has been elected as chair of the Glendale Gateway Trust. He takes over from Frank Mansfield, who becomes vice-chair. Julian Bales was elected Treasurer - he replaces  Mark Cuddigan, who has retired as a trustee. David Bull joins the trust as an elected trustee.

Patrick Sheard has worked for Oxfam, John Lewis and has run a post office/village store. He has a degree in countryside management and currently runs a B&B in Wooler. He is on the lay leadership team of Wooler's United Reformed Church and is a member of several local clubs and organisations.

"I'm looking forward to working with the Trust at a time when our partnership with other local organisations is strengthening and deepening" says Patrick. "When so many things about our future are uncertain it's vital that groups like the GGT work hard to support and enhance our community life."
