Making life better for the people of Glendale

Engaging Glendale

Engaging Glendale

Engaging Glendale is a project which aims to inform young people and social and physical activities available to them in Glendale. You can view the information at various locations in Glendale on digital screens:

  • The Drop In, Wooler
  • Glendale Middle School
  • The Northern Trader Country Store, Milfield
  • The Village Shop, Cornhill
  • Lavender Tearooms, Etal
  • The Village Shop, Lowick
  • Breeze Cafe Wooler
  • Cheviot Centre, Wooler
  • Fire Station window, Wooler

The project will help to remove the barriers young people of Glendale face when trying to access relevant information and communicate with others in their locality.

Information hubs will be fully accessible, providing young people with access to jobs, training, housing, activities, events and services available in their area, and specifically relevant to them.

To ensure a lasting legacy, a training programme for volunteers to manage the hubs will be put in place and carried out alongside the management of the hubs.

If you have a club, activity or event which young people can take part in, and you would like to promote please send Gemma an email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
