Community Speedwatch - volunteers sought

Could you spare 1-2 hours a week to make Wooler a safer place for all?

Local people are sought to work with our Neighbourhood Policing team to become Speedwatch volunteers in known speeding zones.  Volunteers set up the watch in a designated spot, using measuring equipment to record the speed of passing vehicles. Details of any vehicles found to be speeding are pasted on to the Police, who then issue a warning letter.

More information can be found on the Northumbria Police website - http://careers.northumbria.police.uk/community-speed-watch.html
