Residents of Glendale can have their computer queries answered at two workshops set to be held in the Cheviot Centre in Wooler, from 10.30am-12.30pm on Wednesday 1st and 8th March.
In partnership with Four Housing, part of the Bernicia Group, and Northumberland Adult Learning Service, Glendale Gateway Trust is hosting the information sessions to assist members of the community who want to learn how to do something on their computer or tablet, or who have a specific IT question they would like answered.
The first workshop on Wednesday 1st March will focus on setting up an email account, the basics of sending and receiving emails, and doing it safely.
The second workshop will be aimed at advising people of how to stay safe online, how to browse, shop, sell and bank safely and with confidence, as well as how to use Microsoft Word and Excel for basic tasks.
There will also be an opportunity during each workshop for attendees to ask the technicians their IT related questions.
All attendees will receive a guide to take home which captures the information covered in the two sessions, but which will also provide useful information about using the internet, local services which can be accessed and more.
