Our aim is to provide high quality and readily available health care to all our patients with ease of access to urgent appointments on the same day and routine appointments within 48 hours.

We strongly believe in teamwork between doctors, nurses, other health care professionals and yourselves to bring this about, as well as working closely with the Northumberland Clinical Commissioning Group to aim to get NHS services based as near to Wooler as possible.

Appointments & Late Night Surgery

Urgent appointment requests are always seen on the same day.

Routine non-urgent appointments will be seen within 48 hours but, if you wish to see a particular doctor, it may sometimes be longer.

We offer a late night surgery each Wednesday between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.  Consultations are by appointment only.

You may not always need to see a GP face to face and we offer telephone appointments where the doctor will ring you back and advice via email.  If you are unsure, ask the receptionist.

Home Visits

Patients who need medical care and are unable to attend the surgery will be visited in their own homes.  If possible please request home visits before 10.30am so the visits can be planned for the day as we cover such a large rural area.
