Glendale Community Middle School is situated on the eastern edge of the small rural town of Wooler. It gathers its pupils from a catchment area of approximately 200 square miles. It offers education to girls and boys within the age range 9 to 13.

The school has generous playing fields with facilities for Soccer, Rugby and Hockey plus athletics track. There is a learner swimming pool attached to the school and a self contained Youth Block. The aim of the school is to provide and education which constitutes a progressive individuals, each with differing abilities and aptitudes, whose potential should be developed to the full.
